The Carolina Crankers are proud to announce the launch of Bass Monkey Academy! Bass Monkey Academy is our new youth Anglers bass club. The academy will be a hands on experience for young Anglers from 7 to 17 years old. While The Carolina Crankers already enjoy youth Anglers competing in our club tournaments, we see a desire to learn and grow in each young Angler. Bass Monkey Academy will offer youth Anglers the knowledge and demonstration of techniques, tackle and skills to encourage their growth as competitive fishermen. Members from The Carolina Crankers and guests from the fishing industry will hold seminar style meetings once or twice a month. Academy members will be asked to bring their favorite rod and reel for meetings. Any technique that the group asks to address, will be scheduled accordingly: pitching and flipping, blade Baits, plastics, crankbaits, skinny water, deep water, structure, you get the idea! With continuous support from incredible companies and wonderful individuals in the fishing community, academy members will have access to the best tackle and gear in the industry from custom poured plastics and practice baits to hardware and terminal tackle. Bass Monkey Academy will be a hands on path for young Anglers to step up as full members with The Carolina Crankers at age 18. We will also build angling confidence through experienced mentoring to encourage young anglers to compete on a higher level. For those that want to register for Bass Monkey Academy, please contact Lisa Snyder May. 704-226-7127.

High School Bass Club Youth Anglers
The Carolina Crankers are passionate about the sport and the future conservation of fishing. We are proud to offer a grassroots platform for young anglers to learn and participate in a tournament setting. While county and regional competition are offered to anglers representing their schools, an open pathway towards tournament club competition is generally unavailable for minors. We believe that the ability to learn and participate at a tournament level will strengthen a young angler's skillset and feed their passion for the sport. Future conservation and new fisheries will depend on our young fishermen's love and dedication of sportsmanship and the outdoors.
